Sam Said

" He that outlives a wife whom he has long loved, sees himself disjoined from the only mind that has the same hopes, and fears, and interest; from the only companion with whom he has shared much good and evil; and with whom he could set his mind at liberty, to retrace the past or anticipate the future. The continuity of being is lacerated; the settled course of sentiment and action is stopped; and life stands suspended and motionless ".

Samuel Johnson (1709-84), English author

Hi, Mags, thought I had posted a blog yesterday but some other lucky, and slightly confused, person may have it. It was just to say how good it was to hear a wee laugh from you on Sunday at our aspirations of Lighthouses and Seton Castle. Dougie would enjoy the joke knowing how tightly closed Victor Meldrew's sporran is kept although there are signs of him allowing a little daylight in in recent weeks. With birthday wishes to Sydney Helen and all our love and thoughts to you.

As an Artist you will appreciate the photo I am sending by email as I can't get it to copy to this, I need a lesson! The colour as you will see was dazzling in the Rainforest, maybe a future subject? Everyone now will be wondering what on earth I am talking about but maybe you can transfer onto this!
Will be in contact soon.
Lots of Love
