There's a hint of St Columba's presence at Jan's house.
The caring, loving embrace that emmanates from Rosefield is a healing therapy, it is a constant in the chaos that ripped the sense from my life. It is where there is companionship in abandonment, Finlay's sausages in hunger, living flames to sip Ardbeg by, a huge bath to relax in, a cosy bed with a hot bottle in, shoulders to absorb tears. There's the promenade walks in all weathers, drawing-recovery in the studio, the restorative power of sharing neighbours, Wendy's shopping extravaganza, Ashok's fish curry and wisdom, Kirsten's gentle conversation and cooking, etc, etc....... and more.
The tide of sadness recedes for a while in the thoughts and company of loving friends.

Dear Mags,
This sounds like a wonderful haven for you as you journey through this time of tears and darkness. Somewhere in the trees, wind sea and sun Dan walks with you keeping you firmly in his arms.
Love Kate xx
