It used to be a Doctors' surgery, then a hairdressers'.
It has been lying empty for a couple of years
awaiting planning permission for development.
It backs on to Cath and George's garden.
They knew where to contact the owner.
"If you don't ask, you don't get, " they said.
So thanks to them, here I am,
apprehensive and anxious,
but excited,
with a gift for renewal,
amid all the sorrow -
